Fish Hawk - Birds of Pennsylvania - 1926

Fish Hawk arrives in Pennsylvania generally around the last week of March, and remains sometimes till late November. Although some beleive that during the breeding season that these birds subsist on reptiles and batrachians, others believe that it is merely a last resort when unable to locate fish, which they are so expert at catching.
