Nothern Shrike - Birds of Pennsylvania - 1946

Nothern Shrike is a winter resident of Pennsylvania frequenting briery thickets, thorn hedges, and grassy fields near trees and bushes. They sometimes prey on English Sparrows, but chiefly on grasshoppers and beetles.
