Purple Grackle - Birds of Pennsylvania - 1954

Purple Grackle or "Common Crow Blackbird" arrives to Pennsylvania in early March in large flocks from southern states. On the nights of their arrival, they collect in large numbers in cedar and pine trees, thick woods, or dense thickets.
