Scarlet Tanager - Birds of Pennsylvania - 1965

Scarlet Tanager is one of the most briallant of the forest birds of Penssylvania. The wings and tail of the adult male are glossy black while other parts are bright scarlet. This bird feeds on beetles, grasshoppers, flies, and sometimes cherries.
