Screech Owl - Birds of Pennsylvania - 1966

Screech Owl is the most common of all ows in Pennsylvania. This species feeds on grasshoppers and fresh beef. When a mouse is obtained, the bird will seize it with its claws, and after severing the skin about the head and neck, swallow the whole mass.
